In collaboration with GOVERN, the regional centre for economic and corporate governance, S&P Global Ratings is pleased to announce the second webcast in the series of capital markets and corporate governance webcasts to be delivered throughout 2017. The webcasts will be covering a range of regional and country specific governance developments and priorities and will be based on research and analysis conducted by GOVERN and S&P.
Capital market reforms are underway in Saudi Arabia with the aim of attracting international investors. Consequently, the Capital Market Authority (CMA) has approved new corporate governance regulations for companies listed on the Saudi stock exchange (Tadawul), effective April 22, 2017. The webcast will highlight:
• Key amendments to corporate governance regulations.
• Are the regulations in line with global standards?
• Readiness of listed companies to comply with the new standards.
• Evaluation of impact of new regulations on attracting international investment.
